I decided to volunteer after many months of searching for a job and having no success. My main aims were to enhance my CV and meet new people, and I found that I really enjoyed it. After a short time a job became available, and thanks to my willingness to be there voluntarily, I got it! I now work in a great organisation with lovely people and I'm really happy that I decided to volunteer. The best part about volunteering for me, is that you can choose where you want to be- so if something isn't right for you, you can simply move on. I'd definitely recommend volunteering, because not only does it enhance your CV and skills, but it opens up many more opportunities.
